CLSA Education Foundation Scholarships

Community College Scholarships

Qualified applicant will be enrolled in surveying classes at a community college and will complete a Foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and timeframe.

Past Presidents' Scholarship

Applicants are evaluated on their activities within professional organizations and their activities promoting the profession to young students.

Qualified Applicant will complete a Foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and timeframe.

Education Foundation Scholarships

Qualified Applicant(s) will be currently enrolled in any California degree program in Surveying, Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering or Geospatial Option approved and accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States of America. See attached link for list of Colleges and Universities: Qualified Applicant(s) will be currently enrolled in any California degree program in Surveying, Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering or Geospatial Option approved and accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States of America. See this link for list of Colleges and Universities. High School Seniors must provide proof of acceptance and enrollment to any of the above programs for the 2010 school year.

Scouting Merit Badge Scholarship

Qualified Applicant(s) will be currently enrolled in any California degree program in Surveying, Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering or Geospatial Option approved and accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States of America.

Qualified applicant will have earned a surveying merit badge through Boy Scouts of America or equivalent from similar youth organization and will complete a Foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and time frame.

Trig*Star Participant Scholarship

Qualified Applicant(s) will be currently enrolled in any California degree program in Surveying, Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering or Geospatial Option approved and accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States of America.

Qualified applicant will have participated in a Trig-Star competition and will complete a Foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and timeframe.

Dorothy Calegari Honorary Scholarship

Scholarship will be awarded annually to the student who best meets the following criteria.
  • Enrolled in a 4-year degree program
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater
Candidate demonstrates academic merit, strong leadership potential and exceptional character. Candidate's extra-curricular activities indicate commitment to the profession.
  • Member of local chapter and state
  • Officer of Student Chapter
  • Student Conference Coordinator
  • Attends Chapter Meetings
  • Attends and Volunteers at CLSA Annual Conference
  • Assists CLSA in Outreach Activities such as TrigStar, Scouting Merit Badge, Soccer Field Layout, etc.

Hal Davis Memorial Scholarship

Qualified Applicant will be currently enrolled in a California accredited degree program in surveying/geomatics approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States of America.

Candidates will be selected by applying the following preferences as listed in order of importance:

      1. Women in surveying.
      2. Demonstrated a commitment to professional activities including membership in CLSA.
      3. Involved in Leadership

Qualified Applicant will complete a Foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and timeframe.

Steve Parrish Memorial Scholarship

Qualified applicant will be currently enrolled in a 2 year or 4 year accredited program; will demonstrate a passion for helping fellow students; be active in surveying organizations such as CLSA or NALS and has a strong interest in BLM surveying.
