Please join us on Wednesday, July 10th! Implementation of Building Information Model (BIM) for Horizontal Infrastructure (BIM4I) This presentation will showcase the current state of technology for utilization of Cloud base Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms to utilize ISO-19650 Standards to deliver horizontal infrastructure projects 3D Project Information Model as the Legal Document (MALD). The presentation will also show case the four CDE solutions available in marketplace (Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble & ESRI). Kourosh Langari has 35 years of experience in A&E infrastructure Planning, Design & Construction Management with focus on integration of engineering/survey/GIS software applications (i.e. Autodesk, Bentley & ESRI). Kourosh is working as Civil Engineer/ BIM Manager Transportation Surveyor at CalTrans and has worked as a senior project engineer in the private sector for AECOM (formerly URS) for the past decade. Currently, he is the BIM4I Director for SF Bay Area Caltrans District-04, overseeing seven pilot projects. These projects focus on the implementation of ISO 19650 Standards for Common Data Environment during the Project Information Model (PIM) and Asset Information Model (AIM) project delivery phase utilizing Autodesk Construction Cloud(ACC), Bentley ProjectWise & iTwin, Trimble Quadri & ESRI GeoBIM CDE platforms to establish project delivery workflow & QA/QC standards for Horizontal Linear Infrastructure Projects. He is also collaborating with AASHTO Joint Technical Committee on Electronic Engineering Standards (JTCEES) to showcase Caltrans BIM Execution Plan(BEP) template as a national standard.
