Scouting Merit Badge

The California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA) has established a new Committee to promote participation in the Boy Scout’s Surveying Merit Badge program. As Chairman of the Committee, I have developed a handbook (link below) to instruct CLSA Chapters, surveying firms and individual surveyors on how to become active participants in the program.
I have personally been a merit badge counselor for several years, and have found the work to be extremely rewarding. The boys were eager to learn and enjoyable to teach. The Scoutmasters and troop leaders welcome our help in assisting the scouts to earn one of the original core merit badges.
