Metal Locators

[PLS8153]

I am going to buy a metal locator in the near future and am thinking about purchasing either a DML2000 by Dunham and Morrow or a Magna-Trak MT202 with the erase function. Does anyone have any experience with these two locators? Either positive or negative would be appreciated.

I have not used either, I just posted this to satisfy my curiosity.
Why have you by-passed the old proven workhorse Schonstedt?
Yet, I've worked a couple of years in Humboldt Co., and can see the need for a waterproof unit.

I use a Schonstedt for my normal five day a week job and it works fine. But I think that you are paying for a name with that locator. I would like to find a locator of as good or better quality at a lower price.

I have had the same Schonstadt for 35 years.
