New LS at San Mateo County
I thought it was time to inform you all that I have recently changed jobs, and now working for San Mateo County. I am the only licensed land surveyor on staff, and they actually created a new postion called Licensed Land Surveyor. The Director of Public Works is still acting (and signing) as County Surveyor, but if anyone has questions or concerns pertaining projects or their maps, please feel free to contact me and we can discuss. My duties include the survey crew chief, and overseeing the map checking (yes I'm busy) lol.
For anyone submitting a map, or corner record, please visit our website as things are changing and we now require additional items with your submittal (specifically corner records). I hope to be able to bring the county up to speed, and be more consistant with other surrounding countys. This should be a great addition to CLSA and the County, because you all know how active I am in our profession, now San Mateo County becomes part of that, with my representation.

I was going to email you a congrats, but will do it here instead, so congratulations.
I bet you are busy with the map checking. They really lost it when Doberstein retired. I have created a separate file for my submittals so I do not lose track of what is in there. BTW I just sent in 4 new ROS submittals, and did not realize there was a change in requirements needed, so let me know if you need any more information. Bryan BGT Land Surveying |

Actually Bryan, there is nothing new or different from the current R.O.S. submittal , . . yet, lol. Minor changes in the map titles only thus far.
With 150 +/- (C.R., R.O.S., PM, & Final) maps in the checking process, I've been too busy to get through and look at the checklists. Not to mention, map checking is secondary to me running the field crew too, so bear with me. Bryan, as you received in the mail, the only changes thus far are in the submittal of corner records, and they are now posted on the County's website for future references. If you need a map checked ASAP, let me know and I can see what can be done to meet your deadline.
