calculators update & NCEES

D’Zign has been told that the HP 33s has been approved for use in NCEES Examinations, and is the most powerful yet of those approved. It has 32k user memory and 27 independent memories which can also hold programs, equations or constants, in addition to the units constants/conversions already programmed into the operating system.

Because it also works in either RPN or Algebraic modes, it will be the most familiar to surveyors who have been using HP calculators as the calculator of choice for so many years. All of the functions used in surveying computations are included, making it ideal for programming those routines which will enable exam-takers to work more efficiently, and more importantly to have a fast way to check their work.

NCEES AGAIN!

Please see the thread in the title and review the administrators post of the letter to BPELS regarding the state specific exam where the board has agreed to keep their previous calculator policy in place for their exam.
