I am conducting research on digital submittals of subdivisions, records of survey, and corner records. I attended the Western Governors' Conference in Salt Lake a few years ago ( March 2000), and my interest was peaked concerning digitals signature technology. Several states, including California, have adopted digital signature technology, but I am having trouble finding anyone who actually is using the digital technology for map and deed products.
Do the counties accept digital maps and documents such as deeds? I read the requirements for submitting surveys, but it appears that they are still hard copy submittals. Also, are county/city surveyors accepting/requiring digital plats for review processing? Any assistance you could provide me would be greatly appreciated.
