Without going into the specific content of the examination, we don't want anyone to violate the non-disclosure agreement, please discuss your experience sitting for the recent exam:

1.Were you prepared for the subject material?
2.Did you allocate the appropriate time for the questions in proportion to the point value?
3. If you have previously taken the California LS exam. How would you characterize the degree of difficulty of this year’s exam with last years in relation to the NCEES portion?
4.The Board of Registration invited recent licencees to take this examination, if you participated in this process, compare the degree of difficulty of this year’s examination with the exam when you were licensed.
5. How do you feel you performed overall?
6.Do you feel that the exam was designed to evaluate the minimum competency or a greater than minimum competency?
7. Provide general comments regarding the examination process.
8. Provide your prediction for passing the exam.

The test was much more approachable this year.
The NCEES portion was almost pleasant to take. There was sufficient time to complete the exam, and even time to check most of the answers. The knowledge required seemed very reasonable and within the purveys of "minimum competency." Compared to last year (and to the
state specific portion this year), the national portion is well within reach of the average candidate.

I'm not going to make any guesses about my own results! My feeling is that the pass rate of the NCEES portion this year will be around 50%, and the state specific portion will be around historic levels (12-15%). It will be interesting to see how few vict.. i mean candidates will be sitting for the national next year, and how many of the same old faces will be there on saturday.

All in all, the new and improved test is at least (1/2) passable. Much more motivating to prepare for next year
